About alliance hockey
Two Decades of Inspiring Lifelong Play
A Global Legacy ofMasters' Hockey
Alliance International Hockey Club was born from a groundbreaking idea at the 2002 Grand Masters World Cup in Kuala Lumpur. When Johan Herbert couldn’t gather enough Belgian players, he united hockey enthusiasts from multiple nations, creating a team that transcended borders. This spirit of collaboration led to the founding of Alliance IHC, the first and only non-national voting member of World Masters Hockey (WMH).
Our club represents the very essence of Masters’ hockey, offering a welcoming environment for players 35 and over, who share a passion for the game. With more than two decades of history, we continue to inspire and uphold the WMH mission: fostering lifelong participation and enjoyment in hockey for all.

A Unique Position in World Hockey
Alliance holds a singular role in international hockey. Unlike national teams, we bring together players from all corners of the globe, forming squads that compete against the world’s best. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our affiliations with both WMH and the WGMA. These partnerships allow us to participate in premier events, such as World Cups/Spirit of Masters tournaments and hockey festivals, all of which celebrate camaraderie and sportsmanship.
Joining Alliance isn’t just about competing—it’s about belonging to a global movement. Whether you’re a seasoned player or returning to the sport, Alliance offers unparalleled opportunities to experience the joy of hockey on an international stage.
